Presenting: Вечер в Москве (An Evening in Moscow) This is a collection of songs bundled together out of a love for Russian culture. Rebecca once went to Moscow to study. She left, but that brief summer in Moscow never left her. These songs are about influences that don’t let go. The student may have forgotten basic language skills, but tiny imprints of the culture remain vibrant, working their way forward in the creative process.
F&M want you to know and love: Soviet rock stars like Viktor Tsoi (Kukushka), beautiful children’s animation with sweet creatures of unknown origin (Cheburashka), the great age of the Russian novel (Raskolnikov), and true visionaries in film like Andrei Tarkovsky (Old Photographs).
This special EP is available for download only on F&M’s Bandcamp!
“Intoxicating EP” The Edmonton Journal, April 15, 2013
Plus please enjoy a new video for Cheburashka: F&M on YouTube.
Currently F&M are working on a new full length album and will be touring in the fall 2013.
