Thanks to those of you who came out to the "Every Light Must Fade" CD Release Arts Extravaganza! We had a nearly full to capacity turn out and wasn't Jesse's film an unexpected treat? We hope to make the film available soon! F&M"s "Every Light Must Fade" is climbing the charts on CKUA, CJSR, CJSW and CJAM! Thanks for requesting F&M on the radio!

Now A CD Tour is in the works but for 2009 - but for the remainder of 2008 F&M has planned our yearly fundraiser party! We'll be working with some fabulous musicians, comedians and people for a great local cause- REE*START, a youth program provided by The Edmonton John Howard Society. The  Holiday Fundraiser Party will be at O'Byrne's Irish Pub on December 17!

So along with our pre-releasing charting on college radio - reviews of the album are starting to come in. The Edmonton Journal has given F&M Every Light Must Fade a near perfect score: 4.5! Here's a highlight from the review:

This show will really be a multi-arts event! The new album was completed thanks to a sponsorship from Edmonton's Deadwear and it's founder Glen Ronald. The November 14th release show will feature: original paintings from Glen Ronald, F&M fashions by Deadwear, short film by Jesse Van der Schaaf, music by Mike Angus of The Wheat Pool, and, of course, music by F&M!

Calgary has a special place in our hearts this week as F&M is #10 on CJSW 90.9 FM's radio chart for this week!

F&M will be part of the Shameless Records and Saved By Radio showcase at the 2008 WCMA Festival and Conference.

Purchase a $20 wristband at Ticketmaster and you can see as many shows as you want in the three day period! Alternatively you can buy a ticket at the door for $10 (one show).

F&M will play Friday October 17 at the Velvet Underground around 1 am. We will be showcasing alongside Mark Davis, Deon Blyan, Junior Bloomsday and Lorrie Matheson.

We hope to see you there! This will be our last major show until our cd release on November 14.

F&M will also be featured in CBC Radio's live taping of Key of A on Saturday October 18, 5 pm to 6pm. This is a fantastic radio show hosted by Katherine Duncan. Listen in to hear the best of Albertan Music!

Our new album is on the presses and so we are gearing up for a November release. Does that seem like  along wait? Don't worry we will be posting some of the new songs on our myspace page as well our web site will be undergoing some revisions.
